Brentford's Jayden Meghoma is on Rangers' transfer radar.
The Ibrox club are in the market for a left-back, with Jefte set to join Brazilian giants Palmeiras for £6million.
And Meghoma, who has represented England at Under-16, 17 and 18 levels, is a player the club are looking at, reports The Rangers Review.
The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at English Championship outfit Preston North End from Brentford, where he made 14 appearances.

"He is adaptable and can play outside or inside full-back," said now-Spurs boss Thomas Frank after Brentford signed the youngster a year ago.
"There is still a lot he can learn, but Jayden is a player we have a big belief in. Jayden is an England youth international and one of the biggest left-back talents this country has.
"Again, we had competition from other clubs, so we are definitely doing something right."
News of Rangers' interest in Meghoma comes as their move for Real Betis' Nobel Mendy breaks down.
The framework of a £2million deal had been put in place, and Mendy was in line to agree a four-year contract. After further discussions in recent days, however, the move has now collapsed, reports The Rangers Review.
Focus now turns to other centre-back targets.
