Rangers transfer business hailed by Sky Sports guru as he gives giddy 'nobody is laughing now' verdict

Sky Sports transfer guru Michael Bridge has hailed Rangers for their business as they plan for the summer.

With Steven Gerrard 's side cruising at the top of the Premiership has allowed the boss and Sporting Director Ross Wilson to look ahead to the summer window.

Bridge points to the potential pre-contract agreement with Aberdeen ace Scott Wright as a clever piece of business on the horizon before the end of the month.

With the club languishing in the doldrums and watching Celtic romp to nine consecutive league titles, Bridge insists nobody is laughing at Rangers now.

He said: "[They are] Going great so far, 20 points clear, Celtic have two games in hand of course, but its' very refreshing for Rangers fans that they are already thinking and looking ahead to the summer.

"Steven Gerrard has a very good relationship with Ross Wilson who is in charge of the transfers.

"I think Rangers fans are still getting use to these refreshing, sensible signings. Looking ahead with a clear outlook.

"They were mocked for years for poor signings and poor defeats but no one is laughing now.

"There is no update on Scott Wright's move from Aberdeen. They are looking to get him in early as well.

"All this reminds me of their pre-contract deal for Glen Kamara. They brought that deal forward for £50K from Dundee and that's turned into one of the best transfers in recent years in the Scottish Premiership."
