Rangers transfer blow as highly-rated youngster 'set for exit'

Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy is set to leave Ibrox according to reports.

The Daily Record claim contract talks have stalled between the club and the highly-rated youngster.

Kennedy has one year left on his Rangers deal but has failed to reach an agreement on an extension.

It was reported in December that Bayern Munich and Manchester City were among the clubs interested in signing the 18-year-old.

Kennedy has only made one first team appearance for the Light Blues, which came against Stranraer in the Scottish Cup in January, but he is viewed as an exciting prospect for the future.

The playmaker displayed his huge potential in the 2019 Alkass Cup in Qatar as he helped the Ibrox youngsters go all the way in the tournament.

Kennedy has been training with Steven Gerrard's squad ahead of the new Premiership season and was expected to be a part of the manager's plans, so the latest report would come as a huge blow to Rangers.
