Belfast teenager Charlie Lindsay insists he is "up for the challenge" at Rangers.
The 17-year-old has hit the ground running since joining the Ibrox club's Academy on a full-time deal 13 months ago.
Rangers B team have started the new season in encouraging fashion, kicking off their Lowland League campaign with back-to-back 2-0 wins over Bo'ness United and Spartans FC respectively.
Lindsay started both games, and believes pitting himself against better opposition will only improve him as a player.
“Individually it will help my development," he told the Rangers website.
"We’ve got a very busy schedule and it’s about high standards. There is a bit of everything this year and individually, you’re wanting to play against more experienced players to give yourself the biggest test that you can.
“It’s given us an example of a physical test that we’ll be up against. We still haven't hit our top standard but we are slowly growing as a team until we get there.
“The whole team is really looking forward to getting into it - we’re playing two games a week which will be physically demanding.”
One bonus for Lindsay is the return of fans to games, with both of Rangers B team's games this season being sold out.
“It was brilliant. When they cheered for us it was really encouraging," he added.
"It made you happy and enjoy it that bit more. The support was great, good turnout and all-around really positive.
“It’s an exciting time for us with playing football and fans getting back into the stadiums. I’m really looking forward to it and I’m hoping as the season goes on, we’ll keep growing and keep improving.”
