Rangers team vs Kilmarnock predicted as Steven Gerrard solves striker dilemma

Cedric Itten looks set to solve Rangers' striker dilemma against Kilmarnock.

The Ibrox side are without Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos as they welcome the Rugby Park side to Govan.

Roofe was handed a retrospective ban for his challenge on St Johnstone's Murray Davidson, while Morelos is serving the last leg of his three-match suspension for his stamp on Ryan Porteous.

That means Steven Gerrard will likely turn to Itten with Jermain Defoe also an option as the veteran talisman returns to the fold.

Gerrard rested some key players against Hamilton as they drew 1-1 in Lanarkshire, but he'll be looking to field a strong team against Killie to get back to winning ways.

Allan McGregor will start in goals with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic.

Gerrard will recall Steven Davis with Ryan Jack coming into the starting XI alongside Glen Kamara.

Itten will lead the line for Rangers with Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo on either flank.

Predicted Rangers XI vs Kilmarnock: McGregor, Tavernier, Balogun, Goldson, Barisic, Jack, Kamara, Davis, Aribo, Kent, Itten.
