Rangers team v Celtic predicted with some stars returning to ease Covid crisis

The Rangers team that got the job done against Alashkert was still a strong one despite some big names missing.

That's likely to be the case against Celtic as well, even if some of the big hitters have to miss out again.

Steven Gerrard wasn't in Yerevan and neither were Allan McGregor, Jon McLaughlin, James Tavernier or Ryan Kent.

There have been suggestions that Kent was out with injury rather than illness so could be back for this one.

If all four were left at home due to isolation rules then it's highly unlikely they'll be in Sunday's squad.

If that is the case then Robby McCrorie will continue between the sticks.

The back four pretty much picks itself, as does the midfield three.

Up front could see Kemar Roofe come back in after serving his European suspension while Alfredo Morelos will be looking to put his big misses during the week behind him.

Fashion Sakala should be available again although Ianis Hagi is perhaps the more likely to start.

Juninho Bacuna could be in the squad and in line to make his Rangers debut while forgotten man Brandon Barker may be called upon to fill the bench.

Predicted Rangers team : McCrorie, Patterson, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Kamara, Davis, Aribo, Roofe, Hagi, Morelos.
