Rangers team news vs Slavia Prague revealed as Steven Gerrard makes huge defensive call

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Slavia Prague.

It's the second leg of the Europa League last 16 tie and it takes place at Ibrox after a 1-1 draw in the Czech capital last week.

Rangers struggled in the first half last week but were worthy of their draw - even if Allan McGregor had to produce one of the best saves ever made.

And Gerrard has made two changes to that team with Scott Arfield and Filip Helander coming into the side.

The Canada international offers more protection to the defence than the likes of Ianis Hagi and Joe Aribo and it's one of those two who drops out.

Allan McGregor starts in goals as usual, with a back four of Nathan Patterson, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Borna Barisic.

Arfield comes into midfield where he's joined by Steven Davis and Glen Kamara to make up their usual three.

In front of them, it's Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, with Ianis Hagi/Joe Aribo starting on the right hand side.

James Tavernier and Ryan Jack are still missing, but the likes of Scott Wright and Cedric Itten are among the subs.

Full team: McGregor, Patterson, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Arfield, Aribo, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Helander, Bassey, Zungu, Hagi, Wright, Stewart, Itten, Wright, King, Simpson
