Rangers team news vs Dundee United revealed as Steven Gerrard makes 4 changes

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Dundee United.

There's been bad blood between these two sides for the last decade or so and it should be a fascinating tie at Ibrox.

Rangers have made four changes to their side from Thursday night's win over Royal Antwerp with two of those enforced with injuries.

James Tavernier and Kemar Roofe are both out of the side after picking up injuries in the 4-3 win and it could be a while before we see either of them again.

Leon Balogun is one of the changes and he comes in at right back to replace Tavernier, with Connor Goldson taking the captain's armband alongside Filip Helander at centre back and Borna Barisic on the left.

There's also changes in midfield with Ryan Jack back in the starting lineup alongside Steven Davis and Joe Aribo.

There's two changes in the front three with Ianis Hagi and Ryan Kent back in the starting lineup and Alfredo Morelos playing through the middle.

It's a strong subs bench too, with new boy Jack Simpson joined by the likes of Scott Wright, Cedric Itten, Jermain Defoe, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield and Greg Stewart.

Full team: McGregor, Balogun, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Jack, Davis, Aribo, Hagi, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Simpson, Kamara, Wright, Stewart, Arfield, King, Defoe, Itten
