Rangers team news vs Celtic revealed as Steven Gerrard restores Filip Helander

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

The Ibrox manager has - unsurprisingly - gone for a strong side as they look to make it three wins from three against their Old Firm rivals this season.

After defeat to Slavia Prague on Thursday night, Gerrard has made two changes to his Rangers team as he restores Ianis Hagi and Filip Helander to the side.

Both players were left on the bench for Thursday night's game, although it's likely Hagi would have made an appearance if it hadn't been for Kemar Roofe's red card early in the second half.

It means the team selected sees Allan McGregor start in goals, with a back four of Leon Balogun, Connor Goldson, Helander and Borna Barisic.

It's a three man midfield with Steven Davis being partnered by Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo, with Hagi, Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent making up the attack.

That means the two players to drop out are Nathan Patterson and Scott Arfield, with both being named among the subs.

They are joined there by Jon McLaughlin, Kemar Roofe, Calvin Bassey, Bongani Zungu, Scott Wright, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe.

FULL TEAM: McGregor, Balogun, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Hagi, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Bassey, Patterson, Zungu, Arfield, Wright, Itten, Defoe, Roofe
