Rangers team news v Hibs revealed as Alfredo Morelos returns for Steven Gerrard's men

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Hibs at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

The Ibrox side take on their Edinburgh rivals in what should be a cracking match in Govan.

It's the third time these sides have met this season with Rangers coming out on top twice and a 2-2 draw in the other tie.

It's the first league match for Rangers in almost a month due to the international break and the Scottish Cup, and Gerrard has made five changes from the team that beat Cove Rangers seven days ago.

Outgo Jon McLaughlin, Calvin Bassey, Scott Arfield, Scott Wright and Jermain Defoe, and they're replaced by Allan McGregor, Borna Barisic, Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.

It means McGregor starts between the sticks, with a back four of Nathan Patterson, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Barisic.

The midfield sees Steven Davis and Glen Kamara start beside Joe Aribo, with Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe supporting Alfredo Morelos up front.

It's a strong subs bench for Gerrard too, with McLaughlin, Bassey, Arfield and Wright joined by Jack Simpson, Bongani Zungu, Cedric Itten, Greg Stewart and Ianis Hagi.

Rangers: McGregor, Patterson, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Roofe, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Simpson, Bassey, Zungu, Arfield, Wright, Hagi, Stewart, Itten
