Rangers target quizzed on £7.8m transfer bid after penalty miss in Europa League

Rangers target Jens Hjerto-Dahl refused to be drawn on a possible £7.8m transfer exit this summer.

The midfielder is reportedly also wanted by Cardiff City, with a hefty bid on the table from the Welsh club.

It's reported there has not yet been a response to the £7.8m bid for Hjerto-Dahl.

And the player insisted his focus is purely on performing for Tromso in their efforts to qualify for the league phase of the Europa League.

The Norwegian side lost 1-0 to Czech side FC Hradec Kralove at home in the first leg on Thursday, with Hjerto-Dahl seeing a penalty saved during the match.

As quoted by iTromso, Hjetro-Dahl is keen to play in the second leg next week as he remained coy over a transfer exit this summer.

Grilled on a possible switch to Cardiff amid reports of a bid, the midfielder said: "No comment. If it happens, you will get all the info you want, but now the focus is on TIL.

"We will see. I will contribute as long as I can and I am already looking forward to next week. I hope so [that I can play second leg]."
