Rangers target Michy Batshuayi told transfer 'final decision' in his hands

Michy Batshuayi has been told to make his own decision on his future amid transfer links to Rangers.

The striker, 30, could leave Fenerbahce after failing to agree fresh terms with the Turkish club.

And club chiefs have told Batshuayi to make his mind up and inform them of his "final decision".

The Belgian international reportedly has a host of interested clubs this month - but there is also "a place at Fenerbahce" for Batshuayi, according to club president Ali Koc.

Koc told En Son Haber: "I have told him If you want to stay, there is a place for you in Fenerbahce.

"But if you are restless when you are on the bench, it will affect the team.

"Let us know your final decision as soon as possible."

It's reported that Rangers are leading the race for Batshuayi despite interest from clubs including Everton.

And Philippe Clement's transfer pitch is said to have made a shock move possible with talks between the player and club expected.

Belgian legend Franky Van der Elst has also supported a move for Batshuayi this month claiming his spot in the Belgium squad for Euro 2024 is at risk should he remain at Fenerbahce.

He said: "I think Michy Batshuayi doesn't deserve to make the squad at the moment and he is behind other strikers now.

"I would never have said that a year ago.

"But he doesn't score and he's in a bad situation at Fenerbahce. He really needs a move quickly."
