Rangers will face further competition for "summer target" Josip Vukovic as Aston Villa and Lazio join the chase for the midfielder - according to a report.
The Maritimo star has been linked with a host of European clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window and Steven Gerrard has been named among his extensive list of admirers.
In February, Portuguese media credited Rangers with an interest in Vukovic and that is now being backed up in the Italian press, as reported by Sport Witness .
The 26-year-old Croatian is valued at around €1m (£860,000) and is under contract at Maritimo until 2021.
It's claimed Aston Villa and Lazio are keen on helping themselves to a bargain and that could hamper Rangers , if their reported interest is concrete.
Meanwhile, Scott Arfield has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
The midfielder has been one of Rangers' standout performers this season following his move from Burnley in May 2018.
But, according to reports in England, Southampton have taken note of his 11-goal haul and want to sign him this summer.
Arfield is under contract at Ibrox until 2022 and has made an impressive 42 appearances this season.
