Rangers target drops 'tempting' Old Firm hint amid growing transfer speculation

Rangers target Jens Hjerto-Dahl has revealed he's already watched Old Firm showdowns after admitting a move to Ibrox is 'tempting.'

The 20-year-old Norwegian talent won plenty of praise for his performances for Tromso as an attacking midfielder.

Rangers have reportedly had a £5.3 million offer turned down, with the Norwegian club looking for the Ibrox side to meet their £7.5 million asking price.

Hjerto-Dahl is preparing for Tromso's weekend game against Valerenga, but admitted in an interview in his homeland his head has been turned with Rangers' interest.

And he revealed he believes Rangers is a more attractive destination than Besiktas, who tried and failed to buy him last winter. He said: "I haven't thought much about it. It's been a week since the offer came and it was rejected. I accept that.

"I've moved on from it and am looking forward to the match against Valerenga. But of course it's tempting to think about playing in an Old Firm match. It's a big and very well-known local derby. I've watched clips from there and it looks like it's a great match with great atmospheres in the stadiums.

"Of course you think about it. But when the bid is rejected, that's how it is, and then you just have to focus on what you're going to be involved in at the weekend."

And asked whether a move to Rangers would be more tempting than Besiktas, Hjerto-Dahl replied: "Yes, it is. I can honestly say that."
