Rangers take thinly-veiled dig at Kilmarnock over ticket allocation ahead of Rugby Park clash

Rangers didn't hide their unhappiness at Kilmarnock's decision to cut their ticket allocation.

The two sides meet on Sunday and Rangers fans have received just half the amount of tickets they would normally get.

Rangers make the trip to Ayrshire for the final game of the season with second place already tied up.

Kilmarnock are going for a European place with a win and it could also be a send-off for manager Steve Clarke.

The Killie boss is favourite to get the Scotland job and Kilmarnock decided they wanted to sell the place out with home supporters.

That meant cutting Rangers tickets from 8000 to 4000 and the Ibrox club took a thinly-veiled dig on social media.

In an Instagram post, the club posted a picture of a group of players pulling at each other with the caption: "Trying to get tickets for Rugby Park"

Steven Gerrard will be without Nikola Katic and Scott Arfield for the game, with both players sent on holiday early due to international duty.

There could be a return for Graham Dorrans from injury, while youngster Dapo Mebude will also be hoping to make his debut after being left out of the trip to Hong Kong.
