Images shared on social media showed the display, which read: "Get him out now before the seats are empty."
Supporters in Brugge for the Champions League play-off second leg made their feelings clear with loud chants of 'Martin, get to f***' booming out of the away allocation at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
A number of fans also fashioned a makeshift display in the away end with t-shirts held aloft spelling out 'Cowards'.

Despite the intense fan fury over his management position, Martin has insisted he will remain in the dugout after backing from Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart.
"I can't say anything," stated Martin, when asked in an interview with TNT Sports about the singing. "I apologise for the performance.
"They [the fans] have been great. The only way we can respond is by winning the game and putting in a real performance on Sunday to build from."
Martin was then quizzed on his future and whether he has any fears over his job: "No," he replied instantly. "Patrick and Kevin, I've had a chat with them already, they've been amazingly supportive.
"They understand that this might take time. They knew that before I came in. They understand the club's position and where we're at.
"Now the focus is on Sunday."
