Rangers Supporters Association request meeting with chairman Andrew Cavenagh

The Rangers Supporters Association have requested a meeting with chairman Andrew Cavenagh this weekend.

The fan representatives have confirmed member clubs have 100 per cent backed the position that Russell Martin should be relieved of his duties at Ibrox.

The RSA have been tasked with further raising the matter with club leadership and have asked for the opportunity to meet with the club chairman.

Chairman Cavenagh is in Glasgow where he will take in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final between Rangers and Hibernian this evening.

A Rangers Supporters Association statement read: "Following consultation with our member clubs 100% of the response has agreed with the stance that the head coach should be removed from his position.

"Additionally, we have been asked to continue to lobby the Rangers leadership on this matter and have asked for a meeting with the chairman this weekend.

"We thank our member clubs for the unanimous backing and clear mandate to represent the views of RSC's to the club."
