Rangers ' striker Jermain Defoe has been spotted dining out at one of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks.
The 38-year-old star took to Instagram to post an image of himself perusing a menu at the Dome in Scotland's capital.
The Englishman had ventured out for his lunch, as he published the picture at about 1pm.
Defoe did not feature in his side's 5-0 victory over Dunfermline in the Scottish League Cup on Friday.
He captioned the picture Seabass pls before sharing it with his more than 500,000 followers on the social media site.
The striker has been at Rangers since 2018 but has been restricted to a bit-part player over the past season due to the form of Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe.
He did recently sign a new contract for the club and took on a player/coach role meaning he is now a member of Steven Gerrard' s backroom staff.
The forward has only made one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Edinburgh's The Dome is an iconic building that sits on the city's George Street.
It is one of the capital's most recognised sites, and used to be a Bank of Scotland before being sold on and becoming a high-end restaurant in 1996.
The Dome was designed by James Craig, the celebrated planner of Edinburgh's New Town.
