Rangers striker Cedric Itten admits he was taken aback by Motherwell's "five-five block" when the sides last met in the Scottish Premiership.
Motherwell almost pulled off a shock result in December when Callum Lang gave them an early lead and the Steelmen defended for their lives until finally caving after 73 minutes.
The sides meet again at Fir Park on Sunday, but since the 3-1 defeat at Ibrox the Steelmen have changed their manager, bringing in Graham Alexander after Stephen Robinson's resignation at the end of last month.
Speaking at the Rangers press conference on Friday, Itten said of Motherwel's defensive tactics at Ibrox: "It was a little bit different.
“I’ve never played against a block like that before.
“The players here told me that usually there's not that many in the block, it was a five-five block.
“So it was really different, but I was just happy that we could break the block at the end and win the game."

On his last visit to Fir Park, Itten bagged a brace in a 5-1 win and Motherwell fans will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that as they bid to climb away from the bottom end of the Premiership.
Itten added: "Motherwell is a good team for me and hopefully I can play well against them on Sunday and maybe even score.
“Fir Park was a bit special for me.
"It was my first goal for Rangers and I’m really looking forward to it."
Tomorrow's game is a 12noon kick-off at Fir Park.
