Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ Lamborghini probe leads to police making arrest

Police probing an incident involving Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ Lamborghini supercar have made an arrest.

The Columbian alerted officers on Tuesday after allegedly spotting a man tampering with the underside of his £100,000 car near Glasgow city centre.

Police were called and the vehicle was taken away to be checked as part of their investigation.

The drama happened after Morelos, 23, returned to his apartment close to the River Clyde in the Finnieston area of Glasgow, with his pregnant wife Yesenia.

It is thought the couple went to their home but Morelos then went back alone to the car when the alleged incident took place.

Morelos is said to have chased a man he saw lying next to his vehicle.

A police spokesperson said: “With reference to an incident involving a vehicle at a secured car park in Glasgow on Tuesday, a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with an alleged breach of the peace. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

A spokesperson for Rangers in midweek said: “We believe there was an incident but we can’t say any more as it’s now subject to a police investigation.”
