Rangers starting team news vs St Mirren as Michael Beale bids to end season on high in Paisley

Michael Beale has named his final Rangers starting team of the season as they take on St Mirren.

Both clubs may not have anything to play for but pride and three points as they can't move anywhere else in the Scottish Premiership standings but try telling both bosses that as they look to put on a show and end the campaign on a high. A big summer rebuild is making its way to Govan and the Ibrox stars will be determined to give the manager food for thought and prove they are ready to be part of things going forward into the new campaign.

The Light Blues have announced that Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield will all leave in the summer with contracts expiring. Beale will also hold further talks with 'one or two' stars over futures at the club with fringe men likely to follow the five out of the club.

Coming in the way the work has also already started with Kieran Dowell penning a pre-contract from Norwich City. He is the first summer recruit and joins January duo Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in joining since Beale took over the top job. Plenty more ins will come across the summer as Rangers bid to dethrone Celtic and reach the Champions League group stage next term.

Speaking ahead of this one, Beale said: “We will look forward to this game. What I would say about St.Mirren is I think Stephen Robinson has done a fantastic job this season to get in the top six with the budget they have got.

"They were pushing for European places just two games ago, their home form has been the bedrock of that and they'll want to go out on a high.

“It is important. This is a game where you sit on it all summer, and I don't want to sit on a disappointing day, certainly after the way the game ended on Wednesday night. I want a strong away performance and a win to take us into the summer.”

RANGERS XI: McCrorie, Tavernier, Souttar, Lundstram, Ridvan, Jack, Cantwell, Raskin, Hagi, Matondo, Fashion JR

Subs: McGregor, Colak, Wright, Barisic, Arfield, King, Devine, Lowry, Rice
