Rangers star thanks 'power of social media' after culprit who hit car traced

A Rangers star has thanked the 'power of social media' after Twitter followers helped her track a lorry driver who bashed her car.

Megan Bell shared pictures on Twitter yesterday of the state she found her Audi in after a careless driver hit it.

She had parked in Wilton Street in the West End before training, and came back to find the side bashed in and all the paint scraped - with no sign of who did it.

Luckily, a random person who witnessed the event left her a note with the driver's registration number on it.

Megan shared the note asking for help to trace not just the driver, but the Good Samaritan who wrote it.

She said: "Two weeks ago I came home from training to my car like this in West End of Glasgow in Wilton Street.

"This note was left with no name or contact details & if I could find out who left this note it would be reallyyyyyy helpful.

"Please retweet this, thankyou."

Megan's tweet racked up thousands of retwets, comments and likes in a few hours and, naturally, the culprit was found.

She updated her followers, saying: "On Twitter 30 minutes & sorted.

"Power of social media, thanks everyone for retweeting."
