Scott Arfield is a £3million summer target for Premier League side Crystal Palace, according to a report.
The Canada international has been a key player for Rangers boss Steven Gerrard this season and previously thrived in England's top flight during his time with Burnley.
Record Sport understands reports of Southampton's interest in the midfielder are wide of the mark.
Now according to the Scottish Sun, the Eagles are keen on making a move for Arfield after an impressive campaign in Glasgow.
The attacking midfielder has netted 11 times this season and has forged a strong partnership with Jermain Defoe in the absence of Alfredo Morelos due to suspension.
Gerrard will be desperate to hold onto to the key contributor who has been a regular fixture in the starting XI when fit.
Meanwhile, Steven Davis is desperate to bring silverware back to Ibrox after he penned a one-year deal at Ibrox.
The 34-year-old has signed on for next season and believes the good times are on their way back under Gerrard.
He said: "I am obviously delighted my future has been sorted out.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed, especially in the last couple of weeks, the performances of the team as they have been really good and I think there has been a lot of progress made this season.
"We are disappointed that we didn't manage to pick up any silverware to this point, but there is a lot to look forward to in the future.
"It was a case of myself and the club getting the initial period out of the way and seeing how everything went as my family are still down south.
"That has been different, but I am delighted to now get everything signed and sealed."
