Rangers star Ryan Kent hit with SFA complaint over Scott Brown incident

Ryan Kent has been charged by the SFA after striking Celtic captain Scott Brown.

The Rangers winger lashed out at the Hoops midfielder during his side's 2-1 derby defeat at Parkhead on Sunday.

Kent reacted to Brown rolling the ball away from him as Rangers chased an equaliser with the clock ticking down.

The incident was flagged up to the SFA's compliance officer and put forward to a review panel that has decided Kent has a case to answer at a hearing on Thursday, April 4.

A suspension for the on-loan Liverpool star would be another huge blow for Steven Gerrard, with Alfredo Morelos set to miss four games.

The striker was dismissed for the fifth time this season for another incident involving Brown.

Morelos swung an arm at the 33-year-old off the ball and was shown a straight red by ref Bobby Madden.
