Rangers star Nico Raskin has been named in a World Cup team of revelations, after his Belgium heroics.

The Ibrox midfielder won plenty of praise for his display against the USA as they hammered the hosts 4-1 in the Last 16.

He was also credited with changing the game when he came on as a sub when Belgium were losing 2-0 to Senegal, before they netted twice in the final four minutes to force extra time, where they went on to win the tie.

They stated: "Of the strong choices Belgium manager Rudi Garcia has made since taking charge as head coach of the Red Devils, the decision to field Nico Raskin in midfield is one of the smartest.

"His World Cup is a reflection of his performances since his debut for the national team and showcases all his qualities in midfield.

"The 25-year-old midfielder has also already provided two assists, one against New Zealand and one against the United States.”

In-demand winger Yan Diomande, worth €100m according to reports, was also named in the team, as well as new Bayern Munich attacker Ismael Saibari.
