Rangers star Joe Worrall set to escape SFA rap over 'f**k Celtic' blast

Joe Worrall is set to dodge a SFA rap despite being caught on camera making a foul-mouth blast at Old Firm rivals Celtic.

The Rangers defender was filmed on social media following the Ibrox club’s awards bash on Sunday night in Glasgow.

Worrall was clocked in the back of a car with a female pal who is heard saying, “No surrender,” before the 22-year-old on Gers ace added, “F*** Celtic.”

Record Sport understands the on-loan Nottingham Forest centre half is unlikely to be carpeted by the SFA however – as Aberdeen’s Shay Logan got off the hook for a similar offence.

The Dons full back was caught in an online video saying, “F*** the Rangers”, when with Gers supporting pals last October.

Logan avoided a trip to face the Hampden beaks but did get an ear-bashing from his Pittodrie gaffer over dangers of social media and he went on to apologise to the Ibrox fans.

Rangers expect Worrall – who will return to Forest at the end of the season – to likewise escape but players have been hit in the past for online gaffes.

Former Celtic striker John Guidetti slapped with a notice of complaint for mocking Rangers by singing a sectarian song about their financial woes.

The Swede was found guilty but managed to avoid a suspension but Leigh Griffiths copped a two match ban after being caught in an Edinburgh pub signing an offensive song about ex-Hearts start Rudi Skacel.

Griffiths was also censured for a ditty about the Tynecastle club going bust, deemed by then compliance officer Tony McGlennan the Hoops front man fallen short of acting “in the best interests of Association Football by singing in public about Heart of Midlothian FC in administration.”
