Rangers star issued warning over completing transfer move to Premier League side

Nicolas Raskin has been warned he would be "up against it" if he completed a move to Hull City.

The Premier League newcomers are one of the clubs to have been strongly linked with the Ibrox midfielder, currently showcasing his qualities with World Cup quarter-finalists Belgium.

Hull are believed to have previously submitted an offer of £14 milion. Rangers are holding out for over £20m and it's not clear if the Tigers have the capacity to match that.

Sky pundit Alan Smith feels Raskin could potentially be a good acquisition for Hull as they look to piece together a squad capable of competing in the Premier League.

But he has told the player he should be prepared to lose most weeks if he were to make the move.

Smith told BestBettingsites.co.uk: "They need more bodies, more talent, more quality. I mean, he only broke into the Belgium side last year. But as you said, got an assist.

"He’s been wearing his national shirt, which will give him confidence. If he comes to Hull, he’ll be up against it. They’ll be losing most weekends.

"But certainly, Hull need to be quite cute, don’t they, in their acquisitions? I don’t know how much money they’ve got to spend, but they need players with hunger and ability, which is not easy to get."
