Rangers star Connor Goldson takes aim as he slaughters 'disgusting' Black Lives Matter reaction

Connor Goldson has taken aim at fans who opposed Rangers ' decision to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Players and boss Steven Gerrard took the knee ahead of the Veolia Trophy win over Lyon on Thursday as they joined in with the global anti- racism campaign.

But the gesture led to a stream of unsavoury comments after the club Tweeted pictures of the players making their point.

Goldson has branded the reaction "disgusting" after the Rangers squad again took the knee in the 2-0 win over Nice on Saturday night.

He wrote: "Let’s try again. The hate and ignorance in the comments of the last picture were disgusting but not surprising. This isn’t about politics it’s about equality!!! We all need educating, myself included!"

Goldson was backed by team-mate Joe Aribo as he posted on Instagram on Sunday morning.

Aribo replied: "Leading the way big bro"

And several Rangers fans on the social media website also supported Goldson's message.
