Rangers star Alfredo Morelos will ruin his career unless he behaves warns Lorenzo Amoruso

Alfredo Morelos will wreck his career unless he starts behaving insists former Rangers captain Lorenzo Amoruso.

The Premiership’s top scorer served the first of a four-game ban as Steven Gerrard ’s side strolled to an easy win against Hearts in midweek.

His weekend red card against Celtic was the fifth of the season - which set a new European record for the most sending-offs in a single season.

Former Rangers centre-back Amoruso - who won nine major honours at Ibrox between 1997 and 2003 - watched the Old Firm showdown.

And he admits he has serious reservations about Morelos' hopes of becoming a major star.

He said: "Unfortunately, it wasn't the first time Alfredo Morelos had done something like that.

"Even Steven Gerrard said so in the post-match interview.

Celtic and Rangers charged by SFA as Steven Gerrard and Scott Brown face bans

"What he did was wrong - to Scott Brown, to the Rangers fans and to his team mates.

"Morelos clearly has a lot of quality, but with his current attitude he risks ruining his entire career.

"Serious measures will have to be taken against him."
