Rangers star Alfredo Morelos pens heartwarming letter to cancer girl hit by sick trolls

Rangers ace Alfredo Morelos has sent a heartwarming letter to a young fan suffering from cancer.

Little Kiara Buonomo, seven, has battled a brain tumour for more than a year, but only has months to live despite undergoing a major brain operation.

Her parents recently told how their family have been bombarded with sick social media messages by a twisted troll - including one wishing that the tragic girl would "hurry up and die".

Daily Record readers were outraged when Sick troll bombards family of Scots girl fighting brain tumour with disgusting messages and Morelos decided to send a letter to offer his support to Rangers-daft Kiara.

In a letter addressed to the young girl at the Glasgow Children's Hospital, Morelos wrote: "I have heard you are an avid Rangers supporter and you have been going through a difficult time recently in hospital.

"On behalf of all the players and staff at Rangers Football Club, I would like to take this opportunity to send you our very best wishes and stay strong."

The club also sent little Kiara singed photographs of her favourite players, Morelos and Andy Halliday.

Dad Aldo Buonomo shared the letter on Facebook and wrote: "Kiara got a wee letter off Alfredo and a signed pic of her fave 2 players".

Kiara’s mother, Natasha Kinlan from Springburn, previously revealed to the Record how the mystery troll's hate-filled messages are destroying her and her family.

She said: “It’s sickened us. We have enough to think about without the extra stress of this.

“Kiara was diagnosed aged six after going into hospital with a shaky hand. The doctors found a five-centimetre brain mass and removed 95 per cent of it during a 13-hour operation.

“This year, unfortunately, despite her ringing the bell at the hospital to say she was in recovery, we were told it had returned and was now at stage four. Doctors have told us she has only months to live.”

Natasha and her partner Aldo Buonomo started to receive sick messages from the mystery sender shortly after Kiara’s diagnosis last year and they have continued ever since.

Natasha said: “A couple of weeks after Kiara was diagnosed in January last year, we began to receive pictures on Snapchat saying ‘hurry up and die’ and they told us we were wasting NHS money.

“They were calling Kiara ugly when she is clearly beautiful.”

Messages sent included a picture of Kiara with the caption: “Am dying yasss hurry up this time f* sake yous will never have to hear ma mongo horrible voice again.”

Another upsetting message said: “Ugly c*** Kiara will be deed soon.” The messages have continued over the last 12 months and have now become more sexually explicit in nature.

Natasha said: “The way they are talking now is vile, about rape and other things. It is horrible.

“I want these people brought to justice.”

One of the messages suggested raping Kiara’s nine-year-old sister Kayla as well as running over her wee brother AJay, 3. Natasha said: “Kiara’s big sister Kayla has overheard conversations about the messages and was really upset. It’s making us feel sick.”
