Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has thanked a Glasgow cafe for 'transporting him to his place of origin' after the Colombian coffee house invited him to stop by.
The new dad arrived back in Glasgow last week for pre-season training and Andina Coffee in Dennistoun asked him along to their new shop to enjoy a little home comfort.
Members of staff from the brand new store on Duke Street, shared a picture with their special guest on their Instagram page as he gave their new venture the seal of approval.
Speaking on Instagram, the cafe said: "What a nice surprise to have @alfredomorelos30 in our Andina Colombian Coffee Shop. He has given us his seal of approval with our Colombian coffee and food. He is such a great and genuine person and we are just happy to have someone from Colombia that enjoy this “Little Colombia” in Dennistoun."
And Morelos shared the post to his own personal page and praised the cafe. He said: "There are places that bring memories. Thank you for transporting me to my place of origin. What is done with love shows. Thanks for the invitation."
Just last week, the 24-year-old celebrated his birthday back in Colombia with his wife Yesenia and their newborn daughter with an extravagant football themed bash.
Yesenia posted a series of snaps from the Ibrox striker's celebrations which included football-themed decorations, a sea of blue and gold balloons and a massive bucket of beer.
It is unclear if Yesenia travelled back to Glasgow with him.
