Rangers star Alfredo Morelos gets sweet heroes' welcome home from wife Yesenia

Alfredo Morelos has been given a sweet welcome home by his wife Yesenia as he returns to Glasgow.

The Rangers star is home in time for Saturday's Old Firm derby after being away for ten days with the Colombian national side.

The 24-year-old was obviously missed by his doting other half and their new baby daughter, as he was treated to a special celebration when he arrived with balloons in the colour of the Colombian flag, banners and a cake laid out in his honour.

Stunning Yesenia shared his Instastory featuring the heroes' welcome, and the new mum was tagged in the post, suggesting she was behind the gesture.

And the couple had plenty to raise a toast to, as Colombia Carlos Queiroz coach has hailed the striker as one of the three that rescued a point in their World Cup Qualifier against Chile in Santiago this week.

The Portuguese boss had started with James Rodruigez and Luis Muriel supporting Duvan Zapata in the final third but threw on veteran Falcao and Morelos as they chased a way back into the game when 2-1 down.

And the introduction of fresh firepower did the trick with the Galatasaray striker grabbing his 35th goal for his country to secure a crucial 2-2 draw.

Morelos was introduced in the 51st minute as a replacement for Muriel as he looked to add to his solitary international goal.

While he didn't hit the net, he was singled out for praise by his boss following to they type of bustling, physical performance often seen at Ibrox.

He was introduced on 51 minutes and played the remainder of the game before travelling back to Scotland to prepare for the resumption of domestic action.

Morelos looked delighted to be home, most likely because he gets to see his wee "gift from heaven" who was born in May while the pair were home visiting loved ones in Colombia.
