Rangers squad revealed for Feyenoord as Jermain Defoe misses Europa League crunch match

Rangers will be without Jermain Defoe for tonight's crucial Europa League clash with Feyenoord after the veteran striker picked up a knock in training.

Steven Gerrard's side can seal their place in the last 32 tonight, joining city rivals Celtic in the knockout stages.

If Rangers win and Porto fail to take three points against Young Boys in Switzerland they will be guaranteed to progress.

A draw would also be good enough for a place in the last 32 as long as Porto lose in Bern.

Gerrard will not be able to call on Defoe though, with the striker pulling up injured in training yesterday and not travelling to Rotterdam with the squad.

Left-back Borna Barisic is also struggling after the win at Hamilton on Sunday and will be assessed ahead of kick-off to see if he's capable of playing.

Rangers will be facing their former manager Dick Advocaat, who replaced Jaap Stam at De Kuip after a series of poor results.

The Gers won 1-0 in the first meeting at Ibrox and will be looking to repeat that feat tonight.

Rangers provisional squad: McGregor, Flanagan, Tavernier, Helander, Halliday, Barisic, Edmundson, Goldson, Katic, Davis, Jack, Aribo, Kamara, King, Arfield, Barker, Kent, Ojo, Morelos, Stewart, Murphy, Foderingham
