Rangers squad revealed as Steven Gerrard leaves four first-team players behind for Braga clash

Steven Gerrard has named his 18-man squad to Braga for the second leg of their Europa League last 32 match-up.

Jon Flanagan, Matt Polster, Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker have all been left behind in Glasgow.

They featured in a 2-1 defeat by Partick Thistle's reserves at the Rangers Training Centre yesterday, a result that raised a few eyebrows given the talent involved.

Borna Barisic is fit and has flown out with his teammates after shaking off the back injury that ruled him out of Sunday's match with St Johnstone.

Manager Steven Gerrard is also likely to hand Florian Kamberi his first Gers start in place of banned top-scorer Alfredo Morelos , while Ryan Jack will be available again after missing the first leg - which Rangers won 3-2 - through suspension.

Jermain Defoe is back training but isn't fully recovered from his calf injury while Filip Helander's foot injury is still keeping him out.

Rangers provisional squad:

McGregor

Tavernier

Barisic

Halliday

Edmundson

Goldson

Katic

Davis

Jack

Kamara

Arfield

Aribo

Hagi

Kent

Ojo

Stewart

Kamberi

Foderingham
