Rangers squad revealed as Steven Davis return set to boost title charge

Steven Gerrard will be aiming to break Rangers run of three games without a win against Motherwell on Sunday after a Betfred Cup Final loss and two draws against Aberdeen and Young Boys.

The Scouser has signed a new deal that will keep him in Govan for another for another four years and will hope that the good news will give his players the boost they need to re-energise their title tilt.

Arch-rivals Celtic sit two points clear at the top of the table after their last-gasp 2-1 win over Hamilton.

The Gers will have to perform on Sunday without defender Filip Helander who missed last night's Europa League tie with Young Boys at Ibrox.

The Swedish defender is awaiting the results of a scan on the foot injury he suffered against Celtic .

Gerrard was pessimistic over the extent of the damage saying: "The initial reports aren’t fantastic but we should know more after the game.”

Steven Davis is pushing to be fit for the game while George Edmundson should have recovered from a bout of illness.

Meanwhile, Jordan Jones is back in training after his knee injury and is closing in on a return.
