Rangers squad revealed as Jermain Defoe looks to step into Alfredo Morelos' boots

Steven Gerrard will hope that Jermain Defoe can bring his hat-trick form from the 6-1 win over Hibs at Ibrox in August to Friday night's match between the two.

The 37-year-old stiker has found minutes difficult to come by in recent week but is likely to be thrown into the action in Leith after the Colombian was red carded at the weekend against Motherwell.

Rangers will have to ensure that they get men forward in support of the veteran Englishman who requires a different style of service to his more robust colleague.

Defender Filip Helander will miss the game and wont be bask until after the new year with an unusual foot injury.

Midfielder Steven Davis could be back in time to face Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Boxing Day but misses the Easter Road trip.

Jordan Jones' recovery from a knee injury has been delayed by illness this week, although he has an outside chance of facing Jack Ross' men.
