Rangers squad revealed as Andy Halliday returns for Motherwell clash

Rangers winger Ryan Kent starts a two-match ban in Sunday's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Motherwell at Fir Park.

Striker Alfredo Morelos serves the second of a four-game suspension for being sent off against Celtic last week but defender Andy Halliday returns after a one-game ban.

Defender Joe Worrall is a doubt with a knee injury while left-back Borna Barisic (hamstring) remains out with long-term absentees Jamie Murphy and Graham Dorrans (both knee) continuing their rehabilitation work.

Ahead of the game, Steven Gerrard discussed Jermain Defoe's impact at Rangers and said: “You are looking at a body that is defying the odds. Jermain has a young body and has never had a sip of alcohol in his life.

“He is an educated player. He loves the game and you can speak to him around the clock about football. That tells you how he lives his life.

“He has been impeccable around the training ground since he walked in. After training sessions, he is pulling Josh McPake and young Dapo Mebude and doing an extra 10 or 15 minutes with them from a coaching side."
