Rangers set to open first Ayrshire store in years as fans eagerly await opening

Rangers are set to open their first official club store in Ayrshire for a number of years.

The Ibrox giants are set to move back into Ayr with the new shop on the High Street.

The unit has moved into the former Edinburgh Woolen Mill slot, with the store set to open ahead of Christmas.

The store is currently in the process of being decked out, with mannequins modelling some of the replica kits worn by the Light Blues this season.

The store will stock official merchandise made by sportswear giant Castore.

The store's official Facebook page announced they would be opening soon, with fans flocking to the page to share their views.

One excited fan tagged their pals, saying: "We're never going to be out of here now."

It's not the first time that Rangers have had a presence in the town. A previous store existed on the High Street more than a decade ago.

The new store will also create new jobs in the town, with positions previously advertised for supervisor roles and sales associate roles.
