Rangers set to agree FOURTH partnership as Bosnian side Zeljeznicar tease deal

Rangers are ready to take part in a friendly with Bosnian side Zeljeznicar as part of a new partnership with the country's most successful club.

It would be the fourth official partnership Rangers have entered into - they have agreements with Hamburg, US side Orange County Soccer Club and Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC.

The Ibrox club are set to agree a tie-up where coaches from the Scottish Premiership side will head over twice a year for training camps in Sarajevo.

Rangers would also play a first team friendly against Zeljeznicar at their Grbavica Stadium at some point after Covid restrictions are eased and would invite the cream of Bosnian talent to come to Glasgow for training sessions in return.

Zeljeznicar president Samir Ceric said: "This will be an exciting partnership and full details of the arrangements between the clubs will be announced in the coming days."

The club last won their title eight years ago and are currently in mid-table in the Bosnian Premier League.

They have played Kilmarnock and Hearts in Europe, going out on both occasions.
