However, there is a chance that some first-team players could be involved, with Russell Martin's side due to be on a free weekend as things stand.
Hartlepool play in the National League, finishing 10th last season.
They dropped out of League Two for the first time in 2017, and are famously supported by Jeff Stelling.
Rangers have two friendlies planned for their pre-season schedule so far.
The first will take place at Ibrox against Club Brugge on Sunday, July 6, while the second, also on home soil, will be against Middlesbrough on Saturday, July 26.
Tickets for the match in Hartlepool are priced at £12 for adults, and £7 for concessions. They can be bought here.
