Rangers seal deal for Everton youngster Cameron Bell

Rangers seal deal for Everton midfielder Cameron Bell

RANGERS have completed the signing of 16-year-old Cameron Bell from Everton, with the youngster set to join up with the club's academy side.

The Scotland youth internationalist is the third young player in a week to seal a move to the Glasgow giants after Partick Thistle striker Cameron Cooper and Motherwell's Bailey Rice finalised moves of their own.

Bell will be part of Cameron Campbell and Stevie Smith's Under-18s squad for the upcoming season after the Rangers B & Academy account confirmed the deal on Twitter.

"Rangers Academy are delighted to welcome @ScotlandNT Youth International, Cameron Bell, who joins from @Everton," it read.

"Cameron (16) will go into our under 18 squad working alongside Cameron Campbell and Stevie Smith.

"Welcome to Rangers Cameron."

Bell had spent the last nine years at Everton before departing Goodison Park last week and paid tribute to the club in an Instagram post.

He said: "9 years at this football club.

"Travelled the world with my best mates and beat the some of the best teams in the world. I was gonna put some of my goals on but thought there’d be too many you see.

"Some of the best moments of my life playing for this football club and wouldn’t change a single thing.

"Thanks to every person at @everton that made me into the person and player that I am today.

"Hopefully things will return to the way they once was at the club soon enough.

"Gonna be strange not putting that kit on anymore but cannot wait for the next chapter.

"Thank you for everything @everton."
