Rangers rivals Young Boys bring Glasgow to halt as cops escort 2,000 fans to Ibrox

Glasgow ground to a halt as thousands of BSC Young Boys marched to Ibrox to face Rangers.

The Swiss team take on the 'Gers tonight in their Europa League clash.

Footage shows scores of police officers, horses and vehicles escorting fans alongside the River Clyde ahead of tonight's match against Stephen Gerrard's side.

Fans were diverted around a cordon placed on Lancefield Quay following a huge fire that ripped through a block of flats on Monday night.

Motorists were caught up in traffic chaos as the crowd was diverted up nearby Clyde Street.

Locals took to social media to share pictures of the massive escort through Glasgow.

Two thousand BSC Young Boys fans travelled from Bern, Switzerland to tonight's game.

Kick off at Ibrox is at 8pm.

Meanwhile, Celtic take on CFR Cluj in their Europa League group stage.

The Hoops' kick off was at 5.55pm.
