Rangers have joined Celtic in the race for Scotland midfielder Andy Irving, according to a report.
Former Hearts star Irving is currently on the books at West Ham, where he is on the fringes, and is attracting mounting transfer interest. Clubs in Scotland, Germany and Italy are taking a look.
It had been reported earlier that Celtic were interested and had an offer of an initial £1.75 million plus add-ons knocked back by the Hammers.
Now, The Scotsman is reporting Rangers are also keen on taking the 25-year-old to the other side of Glasgow.
Bundesliga sides Cologne, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Stuttgart have been in touch with the Premier League club while Austrian champions Sturm Graz are also interested.
There is also believed to be interest in Italy from Serie A sides, where fellow Scots like Lewis Ferguson and Scott McTominay are currently thriving.

Irving left Hearts in 2021 to sign for German third tier side Türkgücü München. They went bust after a year and he ended up at Austrian Bundesliga outfit Austria Klagenfurt, which turned out to be a lifechanging move.
Goals and assists flowed across his two seasons and a club link-up with West Ham got him his big break. As part of the affiliation, the technically gifted midfielder was the first player to move between the sides and he would go on to make 11 appearances for the English giants last season.
More regular football could be appealing though and a number of clubs are queuing up.
Celtic and Rangers are both said to be very keen to push for a deal but the other clubs mentioned also see him as an attractive proposition, especially those in Germany as he can speak the language.
Irving has featured in pre-season for West Ham, scoring against Swiss club Grasshoppers, and manager Graham Potter will now have to make a decision on his future. The Scot has a year left on his contract.
