Rangers reveal Jordan Jones price tag as he eyes permanent move away from Ibrox

Jordan Jones could be set to leave Rangers this summer, according to reports.

Football Insider claims that the 26-year-old who is currently on loan with the Black Cats, is looking to make a permanent return to England.

The Northern Ireland international secured a move to Lee Johnson's side just before the January transfer window slammed shut.

Jones has been frozen out of Steven Gerrard's first team at Ibrox, after the Middlesbrough born midfielder breached Covid-19 regulations by attending a house party last year.

A recruitment source told Football Insider that the winger is looking to impress for the Black Cats in the second half of the season as he puts himself back in the "shop window."

Jones has made three appearances for Lee Johnson's side since arriving on Wearside and hasn't produced any moments of brilliance just yet as he continues to bed into the team.

The Gers have left the door open for Jones to return, but would be open to a permanent transfer if a club met their asking price - which is believed to be round the £600,000 mark.

Jones has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox since arriving on a free transfer from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2019.

The Ibrox hierarchy were fuming at his involvement in the Covid breach last November, which led to a police caution and a seven-match suspension.
