Jordan Jones insists there’s no pressure on Kilmarnock heading to Ibrox this weekend.
The former Rangers winger could be in line to make his first league appearance of the season against his old side after rejoining Derek McInnes’ outfit.
The last time he appeared for Killie against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, he scored the winner in a 2-1 victory at Rugby Park back in 2019.
He knows all about wins against the Old Firm during his time under Steve Clarke – and he reckons keeping them quiet early on will be key.
He told the Kilmarnock Standard: “It’s just another game, it will be a very difficult game especially at Ibrox.
“When I was here before we had a lot of good results against the Old Firm.
“The thing is when you’re playing either Celtic or Rangers is when they score early doors it becomes so difficult.
“If you can keep them quiet for the first 20 to 25 minutes the crowd will start to turn, especially at Ibrox.
“It’s just about managing the game. We aren’t expected to go there and win or draw, there is no pressure on us.”
He added: "We can go there and be free, we will work hard and do our best and hopefully we will take some points.”
