Following the sad news this morning of Walter Smith's passing, Rangers have released a touching video tribute to their iconic former manager.
The man who guided the club to nine-in-a-row and won 21 trophies in his two spells at Ibrox has died at the age of 73.
But the catalogue of memories he made with the Ibrox side will live forever with Gers fans.
From League Cup and Scottish Cup glory, guiding the team to the 2007/08 UEFA Cup final and winning the club's 54th league title in his final season in charge in 2011, Rangers have showed their appreciation for one of the greatest managers Scotland has ever produced in the video below.
It follows a statement this morning from club chairman, Douglas Park, which paid tribute to the legendary manager, who was born in Lanark.
The statement read: "On behalf of the Rangers board of directors, staff and players, I convey my deep condolences to the Smith family.
"Walter leaves behind a wife, children and grandchildren, all of whom are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
"It is almost impossible to encapsulate what Walter meant to every one of us at Rangers. He embodied everything that a Ranger should be.
“His character and leadership was second to none, and will love long in the memory of everyone he worked with during the his two terms as first team manager.
“I spoke with Walter as recently as last weekend. Even when he was battling illness, he was still able to provide advice and support.
“For that, I am personally grateful. I know that he continued also to maintain dialogue with senior members of staff, including our managers Steven Gerrard.
“Walter will be sorely missed by all of us at Rangers.”
