Rangers 'reject' Zeljeznicar partnership as Bosnian giants see link-up plan fall through

Rangers have reportedly rejected the chance to form a partnership with Bosnian side Zeljeznicar.

The Premiership champions already have agreements with Hamburg, US side Orange County Soccer Club and Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC.

Zeljeznicar were keen to become the fourth club to form an official link with Rangers, with their president talking up the possibility.

Samir Ceric said: "This will be an exciting partnership and full details of the arrangements between the clubs will be announced in the coming days."

But the Scottish Sun now reports that the Ibrox club have knocked back the chance to strike up an official relationship.

Zeljeznicar are the most successful club in Bosnia, having lifted the title six times.

They have played Kilmarnock and Hearts in Europe, going out on both occasions.

And it seems they will not get the chance to team up with Rangers for youth integration and possible friendly matches.
