'Rangers' rapper honours James Tavernier, Glen Kamara and Jermain Defoe with shoutout

Football players often have songs of their that are belted out on the terraces of football grounds up and down the country.

But now, three Rangers players have their names in the lyrics of a new hit by rap duo Triple01s, consisting of 'Trigga' and 'YSK'.

Glen Kamara, James Tavernier and Jermain Defoe are all named in it, which is due to be released on Saturday night with a premiere on YouTube.

The pair have released short clips of the song on their Instagram account and the three Ibrox heroes' names can be heard, and there could be more in the full thing.

As part of it, the song speaks of 'whipping crosses' like Tavernier, being 'composed' like Kamara and 'shooting like Jermain Defoe'.

The song is called 'Oi, freeze up' and Rangers fans are loving it already with one tweeting: "That is class."

Another added: "“Get this playing at half time, fans in or not.”

They aren’t the first Rangers players to be included in a rap song in recent years, with Giggs and Dave singing about Ryan Kent.

In the ‘Straight Murder’ hit, they sing about ‘he’ll do it like Trent and Kent, if them man lack then we’re taking corners’.
