Rangers prospect set for Scotland call-up after run of Premiership games for Livingston

Rangers prospect Robby McCrorie is set to be called up to the senior Scotland squad following a run of games for Livingston in the Premiership.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper will be included in Steve Clarke's squad for the upcoming Nations League double header against Israel and the Czech Republic.

He is expected to be drafted in as third choice behind fellow Rangers keeper Jon McLaughlin and David Marshall of Derby County.

McCrorie has played four times in Livingston's goal this season, only missing the Rangers match for which he was unavailable. He signed a new long-term deal at the Ibrox club earlier this summer.

Elsewhere in the squad QPR striker Lyndon Dykes is likely to be included for the first time after the Scots won the battle with Australia for his services.

Steven Naismith could miss out having not played since the COVID-19 shutdown in March, while Hibs full-back Paul McGinn is in with an outside chance of making it after an impressive start to the season with the Easter Road club.
