Rangers predicted XI as Michael Beale faces Celtic balancing act with Malik Tillman decision made

Rangers will look to down an already struggling Dundee United and could make changes to reflect the current state of Michael Beale's squad.

The Light Blues must keep pace with rivals Celtic, who show no signs of stopping, but Beale faces a potential balancing act with a do-or-die derby clash on the horizon at Celtic Park. Rangers still trail by nine points and go toe-to-toe with Ange Postecoglou's men twice in the space of a fortnight next month with the showpiece Scottish Cup semi-final being placed of utmost importance.

The Englishman seems to have a squad with emerging form across the pitch, namely Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala's purple patch which has helped Beale's men notch eleven goals in the last three league encounters. The Croatian could be set for a fourth consecutive start as pal Alfredo Morelos looks to be fading in to the Ibrox background.

Sakala suffered some pain on Zambia duty with 'constant insults' from fans but on the pitch, the winger notched in a goal and will start. Todd Cantwell opened his Rangers account against Motherwell before the break and will look to keep his place while Ryan Kent will be in from the off.

Malik Tillman only found the bench due to injury concerns but might playing a starring role against Jim Goodwin's side. There was concern for new boy Nicolas Raskin but we told how the youngster had been rehabilitating during the international break in an attempt to get up to speed. The 21-year-old, however, as confirmed by Beale won't feature.

Beale would be the biggest villain in Govan if he didn't hand veteran keeper Allan McGregor a start for his landmark 500th appearance in light blue. Meanwhile the Rangers defence will be unchanged all but one from the Fir Park foray, with Borna Barisic expected to replace Ridvan Yilmaz.
